Axel Triestram was born in Holzminden in 1948 and became a photographer just like his father. He completed his training with Georg Hoopmann in Höxter. His main focus was on industry and advertising photography for an electrical company from the consumer sector.
Throughout his life it was photography that became an integral part of his work. His work encompasses the areas of style photography, landscapes and travel photography.
I was born on June 24, 1948 in Holzminden. I spent my whole life in this small town, which is so richly gifted. We live here by a wonderful river and in a landscape of special beauty. Anyone of you who knows the city and the countryside and has traveled the world will be able to confirm this. We also have very strong economic power in our district town. With the companies Symrise, Stiebel Eltron, Müller + Müller, Otto Künnecke, a glassworks company, a stable branch of middle-class companies and great beer from the Allersheim brewery, Holzminden offers great job opportunities for many people. Not to be forgotten, of course: the ‘building school’ – today a university of applied sciences with the new branches of real estate management and social work.
